So I told Jackson we would be potty training and he got SO excited to ride the potty train.... What a disappointing start- learning it isn't a train to ride on.
This has been a learning experience to say the least. The first two days were terrible and I cried quite a few times, but by the third day he caught on. We have had a few accidents but we are three weeks into it and he hasn't had an accident in a week and a half! YIPPIE!!!
All I can say is BRIBERY WORKS! He has done so well and is so proud of himself.
In other news- we had a great holiday season and have kept busy. We went and stayed with my sister's family in Colorado for Christmas, it was so nice to have Becca take care of us!
We went to Mr. Biggs on christmas eve and did mini golf, go karting, and laser tag.
Becca planned lots of fun stuff for us to do while we were there. This is sugar cookie decorating- Kevin sure was concentrating on his snowman...
Becca's tree, she had the whole house looking so festive and cute.
The highlight of the trip to Colorado was about an hour into the car ride... We squeezed the five of us into mom's mazda with me mom and Jack in the back. We were listening to a very funny book on CD (A Stephanie Plum novel by Janet Evanovich- Super funny) and mom started to laugh while drinking water and was coughing so hard she PUKED!!!! If you thought the car was squished before try sitting next to a 60 year old lady with vomit on herself. Don't fret- we pulled over and mom proceeded to strip straight to her garments on the median of the freeway to change... yeah....
A few weeks ago we went to the Circus. Jackson LOVES the circus, he plays it at home with his animals all the time- he of course is always the Ringmaster. Part way into it Jackson got really sick so we had to leave, but what we saw was really cool. During the clown act they came over to us and pulled Kevin into the center ring and made him do a skit with the clown (Kevin is ALWAYS being picked for this kind of stuff.) It was a lot of fun for me and Jackson to watch Daddy be in the circus. We may have found Kevin's true calling in life- How fun would that be- to be a traveling circus family? I'll think about it....

Yay for potty training! You aren't bribing him, you're rewarding him :) He deserves to be rewarded for doing it even though it in no way involves an actual train.
So sad that he couldn't fully enjoy the circus. That's way fun that your hubby got pulled into the ring though.
Hooray to have potty training behind you. He really did so well this last weekend; I was impressed. It was fun to hang out with your fam!
That must be such a relief! Thanks for the advice about potty training on my blog. We are just taking it slow, but can't wait to get to the point you are! Congrats! Poor lil guy at the circus, hope he's feeling better. Good luck with the traveling circus family idea:) love it...
I'm so happy that potty training has been so simple for you. XMAS in Co sounded fun and the circus too. I'm sure Sam would love that!
The potty train does sound fun. What a fun little guy.
Why didn't you tell me we missed the Circus!? I so much enjoyed having to pay way to much, sit on the hard cold benches and have my coat smell like circus even after it had been washed.....
This is Kylee's Friend Cindy...I love the potty train. We actually told Lucas he was a potty train because he was totally obsessed with thomas at the time. It didn't really do any good, eventually one blissful day he just decided he wanted to. :) You guys look great btw. Don't think I'm a blog stalker, I just saw your title and it grabbed my attention.
We have Nico and Zira on the potty train too!! .... oh wait it's the Pain train. I was mistaken
