My Sweet Jackson

So today I am feeling so grateful for Jackson. I'm having kind of a hard day and don't really know why- I'm reading a depressing book, I might be losing my job really soon, and I'm totally anxious waiting to hear about Kevin's California Highway Patrol test... so I guess I'm just stressed and am on the verge of tears all the time lately. SO... Jackson has been such a good boy today that while we were at the mall eating lunch a total stranger came up to me and gushed over what a well behaved two year old I have! He was being such a good boy at lunch today sitting across the table from me like a big boy and eating his lunch that I guess this guy (also eating with a two year old) was very impressed. Nothing brightens my day like a compliment from a stranger. So I decided to write some of the things that I am terribly grateful for about him.

This first picture is so funny! We went and had pictures taken with all the Colyar grandkids this christmas and decided to take some solo ones of the kids. This is the pose and props Jackson picked for himself... he is so serious in it that it just makes me laugh.

When asked what a pig says he'll tell you they say "wink, wink"

If I get hurt he runs as fast as he can and asks if I'm ok, then kisses it better.

He loved Christmas lights and driving in the car was a magical experience with all the oooos and ahhhhs, and would cheer and yell "you see them lights mom?" it brought out the kid in us. He called Santa "Nanta Claus" and thanks to his cousin Savannah called nutcrackers "cracker nuts"

he learned to take his pants and diaper off and would quickly be undressing in Walmart, we eventually put him in overalls and duct taped the diaper on until the stage passed.

He loves to say the prayer, and speakes in a foreign tongue when he prays. One sunday we were sitting on the very front row when the closing prayer finished he stood up and yelled "Hey Jackson's Turn!" Even the bishop smiled at this...
He calls all my things Princess _______. Like my shoes he calls my princess shoes.
He loves my toothbrush and I find him using it on his hair, his teeth, my hair, my teeth, and other random places.
He is like his mom, he is always singing, either a primary song or one he has made up- the other day he was singing a song about grandma and grandpa then stopped suddenly and said "Oh crap! A spider" (no clue where he learned this ;))

And his latest cute thing is he loves to put on my chap stick (which he calls Crap Stick) I finally bought him his own stick and he carries it around coating his mouth.
This is just a small list of my favorite things about Jackson at 2. He is so much fun and we seriously crack up each other all day long.
