Back to School

We all went to "Daddy's Big School" to buy books. Jackson thought UVU was so much fun. There was a kid in the hallway juggling a few balls and Jackson made us stop in our tracks and watch the juggler.
Kevin is enrolled for his fourth and final year of plumbing through UVU. After this year he'll need to complete his on the job hours and take his state tests and he will be a full residential and commercial plumber. Yippie! (Now to find a job... again....)

Mrs. Sillymiss

Jackson entertains me all day long. This is him introducing me to "Mrs. Sillymiss."

Babysitting Maddy

Maddy is my dog that I got in 2003. She currently lives with my parents but if they go out of town or we need a pet for the weekend we get to dog-sit. Jackson absolutely LOVES Maddy and beg for her to have a sleepover with us all the time.

While Maddy was sleeping Jackson brought in all his favorite stuffed animals for her to cuddle with.

We can only watch "dog shows" like Clifford or Garfield or other shows that have a dog in them. We take lots of walks and go to the park with her.

After... She hadn't been groomed for a really long time so we took her to the Doggy Spa. She is one spoiled dog when she visits!

Horse Party!

Jackson's cousin Savannah had a birthday party up at Stephen Story's (Stephen's hot chocolate guy) horse ranch/cabin up in Wallsburg. Craig (kevin's brother) works at Tahitian Noni with him so we got a private horse back riding party. The horse arena is huge and incredible and loaded with award winning horses.

He loved every minute of riding and kept asking for them to go faster- which meant the stable girls had to run... poor things were exhausted after Jackson's turn.

Nielsen Family Reunion

In August we had a Nielsen (My mother-in-law's side) family reunion. I guess its been 6 years since the last one so before me and Kevin got married. I didn't know many people but we had a great time.
It was so stinking HOT... There was a fountain with a sign saying No Swimming, but was swarmed with kids swimming in it so I let Jackson jump in with his clothes on to cool off. Total white trash, I know.

We took Jackson's clothes off to dry in the sun which means for all the games and water balloon toss Jackson and a few of his cousins ran around in underwear. I know, even worse white trash...

Train Ride at the Mall

We went to the South Towne Mall in Sandy to do an ultrasound (double checking it's a girl) and of course couldn't resist the train. It cost's about a million dollars but Jackson was thrilled to do it.

Magoon

We received discount tickets to Lagoon (or as Jackson calls it "Magoon") through Kevin's work and went with my sister Lisa and her kids. It was super hot and super crowded... apparently it was Channel 2 discount day where it was buy one get one free into the park, so it was way busy. Neither me or Kevin had been since senior day in high school so it was still fun even with the crowds.

Kevin is pretty lucky. His wife likes to do rides at the amusement parks but has been pregnant for all but one of our Disneyland trips and Lagoon so lucky for him Jackson is a super daredevil 3 year old. He went on everything he was tall enough to and loved them all and would beg to do it again when they got off.

You got WHAT, stuck WHERE???

Last monday Jackson came out from his room upset and kind of crying saying, "I got that blue bowl stuck in my nose." Once I realized what he was talking about and figured out what little blue bowl it was I tried to feel it from the outside and look up his nose to see it, but couldn't. So then I had him blow into a tissue a few times- nothing came out... So I searched his room for this tiny little bowl and couldn't find it. I kept asking are you sure its in there? Did it maybe fall out? and he would point to his forehead and say No I pushed it way up here...
I didn't know what to do so we all jumped in the car and headed to the instacare.

Holy crap! There it is!!! The doctor got all her instruments to pull it out but decided to have him try blowing into a tissue again (I tried this at home...) He blowed and blowed, but nothing came out. She then told him to do the big huge blow one last time- and it popped right out! Are you kidding me???!!! 90 DOLLARS later to blow into a tissue, we were on our way home. At least is was a pretty funny experience and wasn't too high up there!
