CANCER FREE!

Well, after a year of remission and a year of worrying and stress we found out that the cancer is gone! He is out of remission now and into survivorship. I am so very proud of Kevin. He was such a champion. He had a full array of tests at the hospital and a few more still this week but all the x-rays and the 2 CT scans came out clear. His lungs sound good, his heart sounds good, and his lymph nodes were normal. YEA!!!

Kevin was so brave and strong going through cancer. It is something that effected us both tremendously. It was a horrible and terrifying experience and I feel like it is all behind us now.

The Zoo

Our Trip to the Zoo!

We took Jackson to the Zoo last saturday. It was a perfect day. Here are our favorite parts...

Jackson petting a Ball Python, then they had to actually take the snake away from him because he was squeezing it! I thought it was justice payback to the snake who squeezes his prey.

Oh Man, It's springtime in the Zoo. This little guy was trying so hard to attract the female birds... no luck, she totally ignored him. Kevin said he could relate to him.

The Ghost of the Bayou. He is a genetically deformed Aligator born without any pigment. I guess there is only 10 in the world.

More snakes. This one could have eaten all three of us alive!

The giraffe's were our favorites. The one coming from my head is the new baby one. He is so cute.

We had so much fun at the Zoo. It was perfect weather, we went to a back entrance, got a spot right in front of the gate and got in without a line. The perfect day.

Easter Eggstravaganza Colyar Style

Well we had a great easter. We decorated dozens of eggs, some of which are still in our fridge... gross. Here we are decorating Easter Eggs at Grandma and Grandpa Colyar's house.

Easter Bunny Jack! Jackson absolutly loved wearing this costume, honest! He saw himself in the mirror and just laughed and laughed. He even practiced hopping for us.

All in all we had a wonderful week of our Easter Eggstravaganza. 3 easter egg dying parties, 2 egg hunts, 56 eggs, and 1 huge ziplock full of candy!!!

St. Patricks Day

Caden and Jackson are cousins and the best of friends. They are only a week apart and often get each other into mischief.
